about

Inner Splendor presents the third album in a series of Guided Buddhist Meditation with Dr. Miles Neale, a
contemplative psychotherapist and expert on the psychology of meditation. In Wisdom Contemplations
from the Gradual Path, Dr. Neale delivers a series of analytic meditations designed to foster intuitive
realization of one’s true nature. By utilizing the tranquil mind for inquisitive examination of particular themes such as the causes of suffering, the possibility of freedom and universal interdependence, one develops
liberating insights that lead to inner contentment and outer harmony. This series of meditations explore key themes from the Indo-Tibetan Gradual Path (Lam Rim) tradition established in the eleventh century by Master Atisha, which provides a systematic, comprehensive and accessible approach to contemplative learning and life-long education.

Track 1 provides clear and concise instructions on how to follow the Gradual Path (Lam Rim) contemplations, alternating between analytic meditation and periods of resting the mind in its natural sate. Track 2 offers The Four Thoughts for Turning the Mind, a series of preliminary reflections designed to motivate one to abandon compulsive living and embrace conscious living. Track 3 presents the Four Noble Truths, Buddha’s
psychology of suffering and happiness. In Track 4, one is guided through the Four Keys of Self-Analysis that leads to the liberating realization of selflessness and interconnectivity. Finally, Track 5 is the method for
Resting in the Natural State, which allows the mind to absorb and metabolize the insights evoked by the other tracks.

In this his third album, Dr. Neale distills the essence of the Gradual Path contemplations, and presents the wisdom practice of clear seeing that makes conscious living so worthwhile and meaningful. These guided meditations, designed to be played repeatedly, allow learning to deepen over time from intellectual and
reflective levels to lasting intuitive insight. This promises to be his most significant contribution yet.

Dr. Miles Neale is a contemplative psychotherapist and Buddhist meditation teacher based in New York City. Dr. Neale is highly regarded for his ability to make accessible and relevant age-old Buddhist wisdom to our modern Western mindset and lifestyle.
